The covalent chemical bond between Zn sulfide and S of zinc is more common. Double decomposition method
For double decomposition reactions, slowly add zinc sulfate to the reactor. The reaction will produce zinc sulfide as well as ammonium-sulfate. After cooling crystallization, filtration will remove ammonium and then zinc sulfide.
